June’s Journey is one of the most popular Hidden Object games in the App Store. We decided to make a small, new team in the marketing department in order to test many new UA video ideas with the objective to beat our 2-year highest performer, “Find 5 Cats”. These are some of the most successful variations that went on to be added in our live evergreen UA campaign.
In “Find 5 Keys” we add a more mysterious tone to the video and add a motivation for the player to find the keys to unlock the door and escape the room.
In “Find 5 Chickens” instead of looking for the animal the player is looking for chicken-shaped objects, similarly to what happens in the actual game, where the object names can mean multiple things. The last chicken that is found is a roasted one, adding one extra layer of surprise.
In “Find 5 Cats Coloring Book” we remade the original find 5 Cats video in a different style. When the cat is found it gets colored in like a coloring book. This video successfully beat the original “Find 5 Cats” IPM by 15%.
